Delacombe

After a visit to family in the UK and a whistle-stop visit to Munich and Paris, what image should I put up now? Something bucolic from the Englischer Garten; or something that captures the civilised grandeur of La Ville-Lumière, perhaps? Malheureusement, non.

No, instead we have a celebration of the beauty you can find at dusk in the light-industrial area of Delacombe in Ballarat. In the words of Simon and Garfunkel, gee but it’s great to be back home, .

I won’t be posting so much over the next few months as I have some exhibition deadlines pressing, and I need to channel my energy to producing paintings rather than words about painting. That said, there’ll be more to see once the shows are done and dusted, and I’ll endeavour to add some progress reports here as things go along.

  1. I love it that you have found beauty in the mundane task of waiting to pick me up after work 🙂 thank you

  2. You’re back! I’m so excited! I’ve missed your colorful paintings and your thoughtful writings….I hope your travel insights will make their way into your blog over time. Your upcoming exhibition sounds demanding–in all good ways!
