Down in gorgeous Port Fairy last weekend giving a two-day workshop looking at how we can usefully integrate the iPad and ProCreate into our art practice.
We started with the basic use of ProCreate and got to know some of the brushes, palettes and behaviours of the app before launching into some freehand sketching, photo importing and finally diving deep into layers and image manipulation.
It was a very short time to cover so much but everyone got a lot out of it, and managed to produce some real-world painted work on the back of the initial digital sketches.
Along the way we pondered the question, “do pixels have soul?”
As you can see by the photos, it was a little chilly.
