Open Studio 2023

Dave the studio huntsman is not happy. I’m rearranging the studio in preparation for my open studio on the 1st and 2nd April and he has been shunted from pillar to post. I hadn’t seen him for a couple of days but yesterday he was on my desk next to my computer mouse, which gave us both a fright when I went to start up. Haven’t seen him since. He might be sulking.

Anyway, I’m having an open studio on April Fool’s Day weekend (when else) on both Saturday and Sunday between 12pm and 4pm (or 12:00 to 16:00 if, like me, you tend to towards the European).

I haven’t a specific collection to show unlike my Solas exhibition, and there won’t be a catalogue as such. This is more of a space-making exhibition to clear out some work to make way for, well, more of the same. I hesitate to use the words “Fire Sale” but I’m sure there’ll be some bargains amongst the older work.

So, join me at some point over the weekend for a chat and probably some of Jen’s baking. If you were at the last open studio you’ll know what I mean: they came for the art, but stayed for the baked goods.

Come on down. Make Dave feel it’s all been worth it.

I don’t put my address on blog posts, but please join my mailing list if you want to visit that weekend.

the artist is blurred because he is moving as he puts a blue seascape on the studio wall.
