Every so often, over the years, I go out and paint and draw around my home. Here are some of them. I have loose plans to exhibit them as a whole at some point, so I mostly keep them out of other exhibitions.
I read once that landscape painting is an act of colonialism, an expression of ownership. As someone who has moved around a bit during my life, I have found that painting and drawing in my new home helps me to understand it better and to feel part of community and environment.
