As I write this it’s mid afternoon and four degrees here in Ballarat. But then, it’s midwinter, and the change of seasons is part of the fun at 450m above sea level. In the summer it will be over 40 degrees, by 11am each morning my studio will be too hot to work in, acrylics will dry on the palette before I can get them onto the painting, my favourite Langridge wax painting paste will be liquid in its jar and everywhere will smell of woodsmoke… but not in a good way. This is a painting of that season, where everything is tinder dry and we all watch the weather reports in the hope of a cool southerly wind, and perhaps a little rain.

Really like this. Love the way you have captured the sense of depth and space. Not easy to do. Well done. 👏😊
