Excellent reptile habitat

Leaping lizards!

Climbing the west side of Mount Ohlssen Bagge is a punishing shadeless scramble, but the rewards are some unique environments that the parks guide describes as “excellent reptile habitat”. Excellent for reptiles; less so for this mammal. Thankfully all the many reptiles we encountered on this climb were lizards and there was no need to run screaming from a snake. Or do you play dead?
