I was up in Mildura a couple of weeks ago and took some time to wander through the Hattah-Kulkyne National Park.
It’s an interesting challenge to capture the feel of the place: it’s flat so vistas are limited, yet the sparse vegetation allows you a middle-distance view further than any forest. Deep red soil and lapis sky dominate the palette.
I made some sketches while I was there. I hope I can get back up there to do some more.
