It’s been a long winter, but the benefits are that our dams and creeks are full for the first time in quite a few years. Despite the cold and wet, and the clouds of bloodthirsty mosquitoes, I haven’t stopped bushwalking. To be honest, I prefer the cold wet weather to the prospect of bushfires, so it wasn’t much of a hardship.
In these sketches I’ve tried to capture some of the depth of colour that comes from the saturated land.
Followers on Instagram will have already seen these, but I’ve collected them together here for everyone else. Enjoy.
These small paintings are for sale in The Stockroom.
