A walk across the North of England – Day 14
We wake up feeling none too clever. Seems too close to the end to give up though, and the rain has stopped so, after a full English, to compensate for last night’s missed dinner, we set off. Slowly. By the time we reach the top of Honister Crag the sun’s out and we’re feeling… well, not exactly invigorated, but a whole lot better. Glorious high level amble followed by a descent past the legendary Black Sail youth hostel and a long gentle track out of the hills to Ennerdale Bridge.
We could see the Irish Sea from up on top, and we have a sense that our walk is coming to an end. Last day tomorrow.
